Read through the Volcanoes Powerpoint and have a go at rubbing the ‘plates’ using two small bits of paper.
Then complete the ‘How are volcanoes made?’ worksheet.

Activity 1 - Write a paragraph answering the following questions:
- What is an earthquake?
- How are earthquakes measured?
- Why are earthquakes dangerous?
- Add any other research/ facts you have found out too!
Activity 2 - In some parts of the world, earthquakes are more common than in the UK. In these places, children are taught what to do if an earthquake happens.
- Create a poster giving advice of what to do in the event of an earthquake. Use slide 7 to help! You may use present this using whatever media you want. E.g. art/paints, computer, video recording.
