Admissions
Admissions Policy
In line with Kirklees Admissions Policy, places will be offered to children in the following order of priority:
- Children in public care (Looked After Children) or a child who has previously been looked after.
- Children who live in Moorlands Primary School priority admission area (PAA) who have an older brother or sister attending either school from the same address at the date of admission.
- Children living in the school's priority admission area.
- Children who live outside the priority area who have an older brother or sister attending Moorlands Primary School from the same address at the date of admission.
- Children who live outside the priority area.
Children will be admitted with an Education Health and Care Plan where the school is named on the plan.
If within any one of the priorities mentioned above there are more applicants than remaining places, admission will be offered to the children living nearer to the school, measured in a straight line.
The school’s Planned Admission Number (PAN) is 90 for Reception.
