Summer 2025 Reading Challenge!
A message for Parents/Carers!
Your child/children are invited to take part in a Summer Reading Challenge. This challenge consists of 10 fun activities to get children reading over the summer holidays. Everything counts, from fiction to non-fiction of any genre, comics and joke books to magazines- whatever gets your child reading! This activity is part of an ongoing drive at Moorlands Primary School to get children reading more outside of school.

We have asked the children to bring back their completed challenge sheet the first week back after the summer holidays. Every child will receive a certificate for completing the challenge and they will be entered into a prize draw.
On Monday 8th September, we will pick out a number of random names from the raffle box. The winners can choose from a selection of donated ‘as good as new’ books and the winner, the very last person to be drawn out will be given a £10 book voucher.
If you would like to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge, reading challenge sheets can be collected from your child’s class teacher, from the main entrance or to download from the school website.
Happy Reading!!
