Moorlands Primary School

Autumn Term harvest

Meteors were delighted to pull up handsful of gorgeous (but rather tangled!) carrots and a couple of good-sized onions to give to Carol (our school cook) and the kitchen team to add to school dinners last Friday.

We have also given our herb garden a serious haircut ready for the winter. After talking to Carol, we plan in Spring to plant chives, more mint and some parsley for the kitchen to harvest for school dinners. We took a binbag full of rosemary cuttings to try and root, so that each class can have plants. This will add oxygen to our classrooms' air as well as smelling fabulous!
