Behaviour was impeccable and we had a fantastic time at Cannon Hall, learning lots about farm animals. Did you know that a mummy pig usually has 13 or 14 piglets, but one even had 24?! Did you know that a cow drinks around a bath full of water every day?!

Our highlights included a 1 day old donkey, 3 day old piglets and one whole class were lucky enough to actually watch a kid (baby goat) be born! ...Amazing memories for our youngest children!

Our focus today was on steering.

          

Our warm up was practising balancing on blocks. We then practised using both hands in a game.

We practised steering between blocks.

Some of us could even lift our legs up to glide!

In our first session we learnt how balance is important for lots of activities. We began with some balancing games on feet and bottoms, and then all of us practised scooting along using alternate 'dinosaur' feet on balance bikes.

Each day we have worked and played with our friends both inside and out.

       

We visited Year 5's newly hatched chicks. They were very fluffy!

We practised our handprinting skills by working independently to make pictures of firefighters this week.

We also  learned to name lots of parts of our body, and our maths focus was putting numbers in order.
